Presentation of the book Prendre le temps at Actes Sud Publishing – March 2, 2020 This collection brings together the conversations of friends and relatives of Azzedine Alaïa. During the last five years of his life, with Donatien Grau, Azzedine Alaïa invited his friends of all generations, architects, designers, dancers, philosophers, actresses, writers, fashion and art legends to come together to take a moment and talk about their relationship to time. It is a unique document on the life of the artists of our time, a historical moment of fashion and culture: we have access to the Alaïa house and its mythical community. This book integrates the conversations led by Azzedine Alaïa and Donatien Grau between Jean Nouvel and Claude Parent; Maël Renouard and Christoph von Weyhe; Blanca Li and Rossy De Palma; Jérôme Batout and Bettina Graziani; Jean-Claude Carrière and Julian Schnabel ; Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson; Ronan Bouroullec and Didier Krzentowski; Vittorio Grigolo and Alexandre Singh; Isabelle Huppert and Robert Wilson; Michel Butor and Tristan Garcia; Adonis and Alejandro Jodorowsky; Emanuele Coccia and Carla Sozzani; Charlotte Rampling and Olivier Saillard.
