Photomed – 3rd edition

The third edition of the Photomed Festival will be held from May 23rd to June 16th 2013. This year, it will celebrate a country dear to France, Lebanon. It is through 20 exhibitions, divided between Sanary-sur-Mer, Toulon, Bandol or the Island of Bendor, that you can discover the 7 young Lebanese photographers all gathered around great figures of photography such as Gabriele Basilico or Nino Migliori. Created in 2011, the festival had honored Turkey and the following year Morocco. In addition to young Lebanese photographers, Slovenian photography will be highlighted through the work of 6 artists. And, for the very first time, the director Costa Gavras will exhibit his portraits.

For amateurs or insiders, the Photomed 2013 festival offers two underwater photography workshops:
– a first introductory course on Saturday, June 15th.
– a second one on Sunday, June 16
The courses are given by the photographer Philippe Joachim, vice-champion of France 2005 of underwater photos and also named Golden Diver at the World Festival of Image in Marseille.
