06.03.20 → 28.06.20
In the middle of the 60s, Jean-Pierre Laffont arrived in New York and began his career as a photojournalist. He covers the world of politics, the libertarian movements of this period, the cultural and social life of the country as well as the French stars of the time visiting the United States: Yves Montant, Charles Aznavour, Birgitte Bardot, Françoise Hardy, Sheila, Sylvie Vartan? With his wife Éliane, they create the Gamma US office, then Sygma Photos News, in the tumultuous 70s. In this second exhibition, Jean-Pierre Laffont shares with us his report on French and international artists such as Marlon Brando, Antony Quinn, Andy Warhol… Photography in all its simplicity and beauty.
