Luxuries

Following “Ten Thousand Years of Luxury” designed in partnership with the Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2019, the Museum of Decorative Arts presents “Luxuries“.
The exhibition offers a journey through time and geography, combining moments of contemplation and more monumental scans, offering each of the 100 works presented the most relevant space for delight and understanding.
The chronological and thematic itinerary opens up two emblematic places that are usually closed to visitors: the 1900 Salon, a living memory of the Paris Universal Exhibition, commissioned by the museum to celebrate Art Nouveau and French decorative arts, and the Salon des Boiseries, revealing other masterpieces of European décor, including an incredible chandelier by Venini and two pieces of lace by Lin.
