The PPCM becomes a Cultural Meeting Center, the first labeled site in the suburbs of Paris

The PPCM is the first place located in the suburbs to receive this state label alongside heritage sites such as the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-les-Avignon or the Abbaye de Royaumont.
Never before has this “Centre Culturel de Rencontre” label been awarded to such a singular site, recognising for the first time the tangible and intangible heritage of the suburbs by acknowledging the existence of “heritage communities.
The circus, a place of life focused on the revitalisation of the territory, exchanges and reflection on the city of tomorrow, reconnects with the social and cultural heritage of the suburbs, both visible and invisible. Obtaining this label opens up new perspectives for the PPCM, while recognising the strength and value of its commitment to popular education.
