Boris Bidjan Saberi fall winter 14-15’s collection leads the designer’s in uences to its most essential forms. Dipping into the interbreeding of the Ottoman Empire and the emblematic Topkapi architecture heritage, the designer explores architectural structures to achieve an ever more re ned and sophisticated tailoring. Traveling along those occidental and oriental leverages, and exploring the graphical complexity of architectonic principles, Boris Bidjan Saberi dares to venture into a deep defragmentation of his classics. Without passing by the temptations of an ornamental interpretation, the collection dichotomizes the nature of the cuts. Patterns, seams, wefts are spelled out to their purest aspects. A closer inspection reveals a peerless tailoring and a smart analyse of the anatomy of the garment. Double stitched dividing seams, vinyl bias, opened darts and thoughtful semi lining sharpen and slant the initial body lines. Oversize jacquard coats, tailored jackets and rigid waistcoats emphasize the geometrical play of the collection, going alongside subtle material showdowns and ingenious nishes. Deep blacks, shades of grey and off whites are subjects to genteel experimenta- tions. While gum dyed cotton trousers, manipulated ton on ton overstitched jackets, coated jumpers and nest cashmere jerseys underline the insightful detail focus ; crosswise taped sneakers and fragmented belt buckles assert the thoroughness and faultless skills of the house. Challenging on and on his thirst for boundary-pushing perfection, Boris Bidjan Saberi’s new collection Structurism releases a mindful surgeon tailoring, mastering his leading-edge pattern expertise.
