“It is a dream to work for a museum that preserves the Declaration of Human Rights”. Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman
The bookshop-boutique of the Carnavalet Museum, closed before the summer for renovations, has been completely redesigned and newly arranged by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman who wanted to make it a place for sharing; a place to discover. The ceiling features “the sky of Paris”, an installation made of thin hand-cut metal strips symbolizing an imaginary Paris where we find, among others, Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower. The two designers and scenographers of the place created a wallpaper for the dressing of the box which gathers a selection of patterns inspired by what they saw in the museum. This visual has been declined on a line of derivative products.
The Carnavalet-History of Paris Museum presents the history of the capital, from its origins to the present day.
