In spring-summer 1991, inspired by the paintings of his friend Julian Schnabel, Alaïa uses the pink and white tile of the Tati brand, known for its democratic products. Azzedine Alaïa designed 3 products for Tati (espadrilles, a t-shirt and a bag) in exchange he used the pied-de-coq pattern to create the spring-summer 1991 collection. For its fourth exhibition, the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation brings together the entire Spring-Summer 1991 collection, which remains iconic in the couturier’s career. The first collaboration in the history of fashion between a fashion house and a major brand that was to pave the way for so many others…
