Paris · Fondation Azzedine Alaïa
22.01.18 → 10.06.18
Exhibition in homage to Azzedine Alaïa, who died a few months earlier. The exhibition brings together 35 major pieces by the couturier from 1981 to 2017, chosen by Olivier Saillard, curator of the exhibition, who in 2013 conceived and organized the first retrospective of Azzedine Alaïa’s work at the Palais Galliera. Under the glass roof are presented Mr. Azzedine Alaïa’s iconic models: a hooded dress like the one worn by Grace Jones, the zippered dress, the red dress that Rihanna wore at the Grammy Awards in 2013 and the dress Naomi Campbell wore at the last haute couture fashion show in July 2017.
