For the first time an unprecedented exhibition combines the works of Madame Grès and those of Alaïa. Federated according to their formal principle, their cut research, the chords of fabrics or colors they commonly embrace, the evening or day dresses of the two designers suits the visitor to a lesson beyond the fashions. Timeless for one, out of time for the other, the 60-piece creations reveal the dialogue of Sandstone and Alaya, two stubborn loners who have become sculptors of dresses.
