Visa pour l'Image - Perpignan · Perpignan
07.09.91 → 15.09.91
After Alberto Korda, guest of honor in 1989, another landmark meeting for the director of Visa pour l’image: that of Joe Rosenthal in 1991, world-famous for his cliché of the Americans planting their flag on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima in 1945. From the very beginning of the festival, in fact, there has been this desire to rediscover photographers “fallen into oblivion”. For this 3rd edition, also on the program, Carl Mydans, Gordon Parks, Eugene Richards among others, share this year’s poster.
