Jean-Paul Knott is a stylist born in Belgium in 1966. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, he began his career at Krizia as a trainee in 1985, then moved to Paris and Yves Saint Laurent the following year. In 1996, he took charge of the Rive Gauche ready-to-wear collection. In 1999, he moved to Brussels, where he developed his brand. At the same time, he became creative director for Krizia (2002), Louis Féraud (2003), and Cerruti (2007-2008). In 2008, he is “Guest Member” of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. The following year, he was again in Paris during “la semaine du prêt-à-porter”, but returned in 2010 as a “Guest Member” of the Haute Couture. At the same time, he multiplies collaborations with the Béjart Ballet, the Royal Windsor in Brussels and, in 2009, with the 3 Suisses. In 2006, he launched an art-concept gallery in Brussels, the Block Knott Gallery, where he welcomes contemporary artists. His store is located in the Sablon district of Brussels, under the name “Knottshop”.
