Meeting for a Land of Solidarity – “The photo in action: when the image serves the cause”

Since its creation, the CCFD-Terre Solidaire has used photography as a witness to its action around the world. In 2022, the NGO launched the first edition of the Prix Photo Terre Solidaire, chaired by Sebastião Salgado.
More than 480 high-quality applications from 70 countries have confirmed its usefulness.

Thursday, October 12, the CCFD-Terre Solidaire organizes a «Meeting for a Land of Solidarity», at the Philanthrob-Lab, in Paris (13-15 rue de la Bûcherie, 75005 Paris). This free event, open to all, is the expression of the meeting between the commitments of photographers and those of NGOs. Testimony, interview, debate: a way to discover the action of the NGO through the prism of photography.

19h: interventions by Emily Garthwaite and Anush Babajanyan, laureates of the Terre Solidaire Photo Prize, in dialogue with the partner organization of the CCFD-Terre Solidaire Humat Dijlah (Iraq) and its mission officers (Iraq and India)
20h: exchange and debate led by Dimitri Beck, director of Polka Magazine, in the presence of photographer Pascal Maitre and Nicolas Henry (Photoclimat).
