The Azzedine Alaïa Foundation exhibits in the gallery adjoining the Azzedine Alaïa Studio a series of photographs by Thomas Demand based on a work carried out in 2018 and 2019 on the preparatory patterns of Azzedine Alaïa. At the same time, the Jeu de Paume dedicated to the photographer a retrospective entitled «Thomas Demand, the stutter of history». The exhibition of the photographs of Azzedine Alaïa’s patrons is a great opportunity to reveal to the public, for the first time, a place kept secret since the designer’s disappearance on November 18, 2017: Azzedine Alaïa’s Studio. Visitors will be able to discover, between two photographs by Thomas Demand, through a window, Monsieur Alaïa’s Studio and imagine the designer at work.
