Alaïa & Balenciaga – Sculptors of Shape

The creations of Azzedine Alaïa and Cristobal Balenciaga are timeless. This is evidenced by some eighty models selected and presented for the first time in an equivalent face-to-face meeting between these two masters of cutting. From the archives patiently assembled by Alaïa, Balenciaga’s pieces are displayed at the very heart of the fashion house today the headquarters of the Foundation, which watches over his memory and his work. This exhibition leaves in July for the Spanish fashion designer in Guetaria, the villa where he was born and which became the Balenciaga Foundation.
