Yosuke Takeda

Taka Ishii Gallery Paris presents the solo exhibition of the young photographer Yosuke Takeda, revealing the most representative photographs of his work, made between 2006 and 2014. Born in 1982 in the Aichi region of Japan, Yosuke Takeda graduated from Doshisha University in Kyoto in 2005 with a degree in Philosphy. During his university years, Takeda spent many hours in the darkroom. However, due to, among other things, the discontinuation of photographic paper production, the conditions for working with film became more and more difficult. Takeda realized that he could not ignore this situation and this marked the beginning of a turning point in his work as an artist where photography was positioned as a medium. Photographic techniques, materials and supports have evolved and Takeda wonders how to approach photography differently today.
