Sanary-sur-Mer · Photomed
22.05.14 → 15.06.14
Since its creation four years ago, Photomed, if its anchor point remains Sanary-sur-mer, has turned towards the shores of the Mediterranean and developed in 2013 with Monaco and Lebanon close ties that resulted in an exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, placed under the high patronage of His Serene Highness, Prince Albert II to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Lebanon’s independence and the creation of Photomed Lebanon which will take place every year in Beirut. Based on these experiences, the ambition of the festival of Mediterranean photography, Photomed, is to export to other countries and to perpetuate current alliances. The bet of Photomed’s editorial line has been won: to highlight Mediterranean photographers and Mediterranean photography, to allow audiences, professionals as well as visitors, to discover new talents or rediscover renowned photographers and to better understand what Mediterranean people have in common. The public is not mistaken, and last year Photomed again saw an increase in the number of visitors whose comments are increasingly enthusiastic.
